Overview
Here at Scottish Borders Sporting we are proud to have partnered with phenomenal renowned gun dog trainer – Sarah Miles!
Sarah relocated to the Borders from Hampshire and you can now join her at our amazing location in Scotland!
Lots of training packages on offer including:
- Puppy Basics
- Gundog – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
- Beating Dog
- Rough Shooters Dog
- Picking Up Dog
- Ladies only training days
- Training Walked Up Days on Live Game.
During the shooting season we run game shooting days for field trial training, and giving the advanced dog vital experience in a live shooting situation.
We also offer the supervision in beating or picking up with your dog on driven shoots.

Workshops
Lots of new and exciting group training as individuals and couples – while one partner is training, the other can participate as the walking gun (if experienced) on live game (during the season Oct – Jan)
Our Sporting Estate spans some 1500 acres of stunning topography and some of the best training ground for your dogs!
From cover crops, bracken, gullies, ponds, hills, woodland, dykes, we have it all!
About Sarah Miles
Sarah Miles is our resident gundog trainer. She has a wealth of experience in training gundogs to the highest standards as demonstrated by her own successes.
She ran for the winning England team at the Game Fair and Scottish Game Fair in 2019.
She had a double qualification for the IGL championships and has made up to Field Trial Champion.
Sarah also picks up regularly with her team of labradors and cockers.
Sarah takes in residential dogs for training and provides residential holidays for small groups of 4-6 throughout the year.
